I am happy to introduce a beautiful vegan apothecary candle range to our studio. The FAR Candle Company is an affordable hand poured luxury candle brand, made in small batches, using a unique blend of sustainable coconut and soy wax, all made by hand in Ramsbottom, England.
FAR Candles was founded to fulfil a creative urge that had been bubbling beneath the surface for sometime! During her busy career, owner Nicole Scott worked a Christmas stint at Jo Malone, just for fun…. this became the springboard that she needed to change her career path and in 2017 the FAR Candle Company was born. Launching after lots of hard work, test and re – testing, making mistakes along the way, a sheer determination and always with a strong ethos to produce a luxury, affordable, sustainable product with a serious scent. Encase you were wondering….that name! Why FAR? Well it’s the names of her children Freya And Robby – or simply FAR.
The candles are made from organic soy wax, this is used because its a natural, renewable resource that burns longer and cleaner than paraffin wax. Coconut wax is also added, this enhances the finish and burn of the candles. Phlalate and paraben free fragrance oils are added and a cotton wick – absolutely nothing else.
They come in these beautiful reusable apothecary – inspired amber glass jars, so you get a lovely warm glow.
They are 100% recyclable, so repurpose your jars after use, add a cute cactus or succulent, or use for storing stationery, cotton buds or any bits and bobs.
We are currently stocking two sizes;
120ml – burn for approximately 20 hours £9.50 each.
180ml – burn for approximately 35 hours £13.50 each.
In the following five fragrances;
Plum & Patchouli – opulent, both fruity and earthy.
Bergamot & Amber – exotic, warm rich amber, with a citrus twist.
Blossom & Rose – the pretty floral one, with a touch of cedarwood.
Citrus & Basil – bright and fresh, my favourite!
Tobacco and Oak – bold and woody, a great unisex scent, my second favourite!!
I do love them all though, and of course it does depend on your mood….
These fit lovely in our Artisans boxes, nestled in shredded tissue paper…at no extra cost. Also, Nicole provides a care card that comes with each candle, to advise on trimming of the wick, burn time and safety.
